The J.P. Sauer & Sohn S53 Drilling is a classic German three-barrel combination gun — typically two shotgun barrels over a single rifled barrel — built for versatile European hunting. It features a sturdy boxlock action, quality walnut stock and often elegant engraving, and was produced in Suhl in the mid-20th century; the S53 later inspired Sauer’s Drilling Model 3000.
