Description
The 8x60S is a traditional German hunting cartridge created in the early 20th century as a longer version of the 8x57IS. Introduced around 1912, it was designed to provide higher velocity and improved long‑range performance while remaining compatible with standard‑diameter .323″ (S‑bore) bullets. The longer case offers increased powder capacity, resulting in strong downrange energy, excellent penetration, and reliable performance on medium to large game.
