Description
The .300 Holland Holland Magnum was introduced in 1920 and is based on the earlier .375 H&H Magnum, first released in 1912. Designed to meet the demand for a fast, flat‑shooting cartridge suitable for plains and open‑country game, Holland & Holland adapted the proven .375 H&H case to create the .300 H&H.
Early factory loads featured a 150‑grain bullet achieving muzzle velocities of over 3,080 fps, placing the .300 H&H among the fastest and most advanced hunting cartridges of its era. Its performance set the stage for many of the magnum cartridges that followed and secured its reputation as a classic, high‑performance round for long‑range hunting.
