Description

A Weatherby bold action rifle German Mark V Custom Crown Grade in nearly mint condition.

A mirror-polished barrel, approximately 660 mm long, with a mirror-polished chamber and an undamaged muzzle, tapering from a thickness of approximately 30 mm at the base to approximately 16 mm at the muzzle, manufactured by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. Surface high-gloss polished with a deep black, glossy immersion bluing. At the muzzle, an approx. 68 mm long muzzle flash suppressor with three rows of 1.9 mm holes on each side—right and left—next to the front sight base, totaling 66 holes.
Open sights with a bar-style front sight; the front sight is height-adjustable. The front sight is mounted in a side prism and is also adjustable. Round rear sight and rectangular bar-style front sight with brass insert.
MAK swivel mount. Front mount with ring soldered to the muzzle base.
Front plate inserted into the prism with lateral adjustment.
Clearly visible, ring-shaped rust formation at the front ring gap of the
mount base. Rear base plate with a 15 mm prism that is both screwed and glued in place,
in a dip-burnished finish.
System sleeve, chamber rod, trigger guard, magazine cover, and trigger guard are high polished and fully engraved with a floral pattern. On the hinged magazine cover, an engraving of an elephant’s head in a silver-plated finish.
Round, mirror-polished chamber rod. On the right side of the trigger guard is the lever safety. Dry-firing direct trigger in a blued finish.
Dark walnut stock with a subtle “pork loin” profile, a German cheek piece, and a pistol grip. The pistol grip, shaped in a subtle “Kaiser” style, and the forend are decorated with oak leaves. On the right side of the buttstock and on the underside of the forend, white and black inlay work in the shape of rhombuses.
Approx. 140 mm long on the buttstock, approx. 109 mm long on the forend.The fore-end sides are strikingly angular and match the pistol grip with a rosewood end cap; the pistol grip cap features a diamond-shaped mother-of-pearl inlay. The fore-end fits snugly.
The stock end is formed by an approximately 27 mm thick, ventilated Pachmayr rubber cap with a black and white interlayer, stock length 361 mm.
Sling swivel mounts on the fore-end and buttstock designed for quick-release sling swivels.
Valid proof mark affixed below the chamber (not visible).

Mounted Scope is a Zeiss Diavari ZM, 3–12×56 MC, illuminated reticle 69, three turrets,
left turret for stepless adjustment of reticle brightness.
Objective and eyepiece in scratch-free, undamaged condition, completely
intact lens system, interior free of mold growth. Mounting components
fully mounted on the factory-installed Zeiss internal rail.
