Description

Year of manufacture: 1913, Condition: 3,

From a well-maintained estate, masterfully crafted in pure pre-war Suhl quality, based on the patented original Anson & Deeley system, manufactured under license, steel action with full-surface, deeply engraved hunting scene: red deer on the right, elk on the receiver, wild boar hunt with hounds on the left, as well as leaf arabesque engraving on the controls, steel parts of the fore-end and buttstock including a steel magazine for four rifle cartridges, selector switch on the target, classic Greener safety acting on the trigger and hammers, professionally refurbished steel and wood parts in 1992, stock lengthened to 380mm, shotgun chamber re-proofed to 70mm length, addition of a high-luminosity telescopic sight (necessitating re-bluing of the barrel assembly), and installation of a Krieghoff .22WMR insert barrel with factory-selected “extra” accuracy. Half-beavertail fore-end, buttstock with inlaid horn teardrops, German cheekpiece for right-handed shooters made of well-grained wood, long trigger guard still made of genuine buffalo horn, Suhl claw mount with Habicht-Swarovski Nova 3-12×56 scope, reticle 1, with a small dot in the upper corner at 3x magnification… still usable as a universal weapon for hunting small to big game… this drilling could certainly tell many hunting stories; the historical model in this caliber combination is the famous Luftwaffe drilling from WWII…
